Why a short story reviewer list?
With the popularity of ebooks, more and more short stories are being published but it is difficult to find reviewers willing to take short stories. It seems to be a neglected niche in the book blogosphere. I went searching for a list of short story reviewers so I could add my blog, but soon discovered that there aren't any reviewer lists that I could find devoted to reviewers willing to accept short stories. (If you know of any, let me know.) So my new quest is to create one! Creating a list will help short story authors, readers, and reviewers find each other more easily. As I get submissions, I'll be creating a list here on the blog.
If you review indie short stories on your blog and want to be added to the list, please fill out and submit the form at the end of the list below. The following criteria must apply to be added to the list:
- Must be willing to consider short stories for review by independent (self-published) authors and small indie press. Your blog does not have to be devoted to short stories, you just need to be willing to review them along with your other reviews.
- Must be willing and able to accept ebooks (shorts stories are not likely to be available in print unless it's in an anthology or collection)
- Must NOT charge money for reviews
- Must be willing to provide a reciprocal link back to this list. This is important. More links mean more people find the list and that means more people find your blog and more authors find short story reviewers and more readers find short story reviews. Sharing the link love helps everyone!
